Wicked Extends until September 2009
The fantastically popular musical Wicked has just announced it will be taking bookings into its third year in the West End.
Opening at the Apollo Victoria in 2006, Wicked has very quickly established itself as one of the capital's favourite musicals. Boasting a truly enchanting score and some stunning special effects, Wicked is certainly an amazing option for that West End theatre break.
Coming only a month after the producers of Marguerite had to announce that they would be closing early due to the "current economic climate", Wicked's executive producer Michael McCabe had this to say:
"There is absolutely no sign of Wicked being affected by the credit crunch. In fact, theatregoers appear to be actively seeking out the show in this current climate in order to enjoy a night of pure escapism and value-for-money entertainment.
Starring the intoxicating newcomer Alexia Khadime as 'Elphaba', Wicked will be playing at the Apollo Victoria Theatre until September 26th, 2009. Book your tickets as part of an unforgettable theatre break package with Show and Stay® today and you could be in line for some of the best prices on the web.
