Rachel Tucker Rocks
Fans of I'd Do Anything's Rachel Tucker will be delighted to hear that the wait is finally over. Tucker has joined the cast of We Will Rock You. The talented nearly-Nancy will be playing the role of 'Meat' in the phenomenally popular Queen jukebox musical.
No stranger to the West End, Tucker starred in the Victoria Palace Theatre's production of Tonight's the Night before her appearance on I'd Do Anything. The Northern Irish singer/actress made it as far as the semi-finals of the show before losing a 'sing off' to fellow Oliver! hopeful Samantha Barks.
Tucker's role in We Will Rock You will see her step into the distant future, onto 'Planet Mall', a world where music is produced only by machines. This domination of the music industry by circuit-boards and transistors does not go unopposed. Far beneath the surface of the planet, an accidental hero, Galileo, and his loyal band of Bohemians plot to overthrow Planet Mall's cruel tyrant, 'Killer Queen' and bring about a rock revolution.
We Will Rock You features 32 of Queen's most well known and loved hits such as the anthemic Bohemian Rhapsody and the irresistible Radio Gaga. These classic songs are held together by an exciting story of rebellion and a cleverly written book by Ben Elton. The show's choreography is as stunning as the music, Arlene Phillips has, as always, done an astounding job.
Tickets are selling fast so book quickly to see your favourite I'd Do Anything contestant as you've never seen her before. We Will Rock You is part of our amazing 'Fabulous Fridays' offer, book for a Friday and you could save up to 47% on your luxurious theatre break.
