Never Forget Closes
Smash-hit jukebox musical, Never Forget, will close in the West End when it completes its current run at the Savoy Theatre on 15 November, 2008.
The upbeat show based on the greatest hits of recently reformed 1990s boyband, Take That, has cancelled its previously announced move to the Lyric Theatre. The show will now go on a UK tour with a return to the West End in 2009 a distinct possibility.
The show's closure has been linked to pay disputes with the cast following the reported move to the smaller Lyric Theatre. Controversial comedian, Eddie Izzard will now be performing at the Lyric from 20 November, 2008 and Thriller, the Michael Jackson jukebox musical will open at the venue from early 2009.
Never Forget's familiar chart-topping songs such as 'Relight My Fire' and 'Back For Good' combined with its funny, original book by Danny Brocklehurst gained the musical some highly positive reviews from the national press. Show and Stay® wishes the show luck on it's UK tour.
