Full Cast of Oliver! Announced
Cameron Mackintosh's upcoming revival of Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane is one of the most hotly anticipated West End shows in history. Show and Stay® are now proud to reveal all the principal members of the cast!
Following special preview performances from December 12th, Oliver! will open properly on January 14th. Just over five months since Jodie Prenger was awarded the role of 'Nancy' on the BBC 1 talent show I'd do Anything, the remainder of the cast has now been dutifully announced.
Alongside Jodie Prenger's 'Nancy' and Rowan Atkinson's 'Fagin', the rest of the cast are as follows: Burn Gorman will play 'Bill Sikes', Rosemary Leech will play 'Mrs Bedwin' and Julian Bleach will star as 'Mr Sowerberry'.
Julius D'Silva will play 'Mr Bumble', Wendy Ferguson plays 'Widow Corney' and Louise Gold will step in as 'Mrs Sowerberry'.
Further to reports that Jodie will only play six of the eight shows a week, we can announce that Tamsin Carroll will stand in as 'Nancy' on the Wednesday and Thursday evening performances.
The three youngsters picked to play 'Oliver' are Laurence Jeffcoate, Gwion Wyn Jones and Harry Stott. 'The Artful Dodger' also has three young actors playing him: Eric Dibb Fuller, Robert Madge and Ross McCormack.
