Calendar Girls To Open at Noël Coward Theatre
Calendar Girls, the hotly anticipated screen to stage transfer by Tim Firth, is to open in the West End. The feel good comedy about a WI group who bare all for a fund-raising calendar will open at the Noël Coward Theatre on 4th April 2009.
Some familiar faces from stage and screen make up the cast of Calendar Girls. Loose Women's Lynda Bellingham as well as Gaynor Faye, Julia Hills, Joan Blackham, Sian Phillips, Bridget Forsyth, Elaine C Smith, Abby Francis, Carl Prekopp, Gary Lilburn and Gerard McDermot make up the show's glittering cast.
Prior to it's 12 week, strictly limited season at the Noël Coward Theatre, Calendar Girls will continue its tour. The show will visit His Majestys Theatre Aberdeen (3 7 February 2009), The Theatre Royal Nottingham (9 14 February), The Regent Theatre Stoke (16 21 February), The New Victoria Theatre Woking (23 28 February), The Mayflower Southampton (2 7 March), The New Theatre Cardiff (9 14 March), The Lowry Theatre Salford (16 21 March) and The Theatre Royal Norwich (23 28 March).
Calendar Girls will replace the smash-hit puppet extravaganza, Avenue Q, at the Noël Coward Theatre.
