The Congestion Charge is a way of ensuring that those using valuable and congested road space make a financial contribution, it affects Central London and it's surrounding areas. The Congestion Charge was introduced in order to reduce the amount of traffic and pollution in the capital, and all the money raised from the Congestion Charge will be added to whats already been spent on Londons transport facilities so that it benefits everyone.
When driving to your theatre break hotel you will have to purchase a Congestion Charge voucher in order to drive around in Central London
- The Congestion Charge operation hours are 7.00 am to 6.00pm
- Charging Days are Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays)
- The Congestion Charging Zones are clearly defined by signs and/or road markings at entrance or exit points.
- The standard daily charge is £8
